November 9. —The Harvard Crimson. undergrad- uate daily, joined today with President John Grier Hibben of Princeton in attempting to pour ofl on the troubled waters of the controversy that has the two universities on the gridiron and elsewhere. The Daily Princetonian, however, says that If ene of the parties is dis- gruntied, it is time for dissolution of the Big Three. The Crimson today took cognizance of the situation that was created by a special issue of the Harvard Lam- poon, the university's comic, which met outpouring crowds from Satur- day's Big Three game here with a pointed artack on Princeton. Deploring the Lampoon incident, the Crimson declared that “for vears Harvard has adopted a patronizing attitude toward Princeton, culminat- ing in the obviously undiplomatic in- cldent of the early Fall when Prince- ton was certainly treated in a cavalier tashion by those in charge of athletics at Harvard.” The Crimson’s reference was to Harvard's intention to drop Princeton from its foot ball schedule, in order Ito take on Michigan.
