S. Rollins Named Di- rector, and W. H. Pearson, Assist- ant, in Postal Savings Division. Willlam T. 8. Rollins, assistant di- rector of postal savings, has been named director, and Willam H. Pearson, chief accountant of that di- vision, has been promoted to the assistant directorship, effective June 1, Postmaster General New an- nounced today. The changes were made as the re- sult of the promotion of William E. Buffington, ‘director of postal sav- ings for many years, to the position of controller of the Post Office De- partment, and are in line with the policy to fill positions from the ranks whenever worthy men are available. Mr. Rollins entered the postal serv- fce from Ritchle, Prince Georges County, Md., 26 years ago. For the past 14 vears he has been connected with the division of postal <. He is a graduate of the Marvland Agricultural College with the degree of bachelor of science.
