CRUCIBLE STEEL REPORT SHOWS GOOD EARNINGS NEW YORK, January 16 (#P).— Net profit of $2,070,247 for the four months ending December 31, 1925, was reported today for the Crucible Steel Co. by H. S. Wilkinson, chair- man of the board of directors, in a statement to stockholgders. From this a dividend of $1,362,486 will be paid, leaving a surplus of $7Q7.761. The report was issued for the four- month period to correspond to the change from August 31 to December 31 as the end of the company's fiscal year. Operating profits. after deduct- ing Federal and other taxes, was re- vealed as $8,429,926 for the four months, which were 8aid to be larger than for any four months in the last five years. ARMOUR NOTES CALLED. CHICAGO, January 16 P).—The board of directors of Armour and Co., packers, has voted to call the $1,900,- 000 8 per cent gold notes outstanding, which normally would mature in 1930. In announcing the call, F. Ed- son White, president of the company, explained that the notes were part of the obligations of Morris and Co., taken over by Armour at the time of the purchase of the Morris intergsts.
