THE EVENING STAR, WASHINGTON, D. ¢, FRIDAY, JANUARY 1, 1926. To All of Our C©_nsume1rs One year ago today this Company put into effect a reduction in rates for electricity amounting to 25 per cent. During the past year it has refunded in cash to consumers the sum of $2,300,000 and taken into part- nership over 4,000 of its customers and employes by the sale of $2,000,000 of its preferred stock. The sum of $2,000,000 has been expended for extensions, additions, betterments and improvements to assure a continuance of dependable electric energy for light, heat and power at the most reasonable cost to the consumer. [Every operating economy that prudent management, able engineering and efficient personnel could put into practice for the public good [as been employed. The company starts 1926 with a further reduction in rates amounting to 6 per cent, making a total reduction in the price of “Matchless Service” since December 31, 1924, amounting to 31 per cent. In good public service “actions speak louder than words” and the cordial reception that has met our efforts to please our consumers is shown in the enlarged business we have enjoyed during 1925.
