COPENHAGEN, December 22.—A sensational documem showing barbar ous treatment of political prisgners, especially moderate Socialis t by the Soclal Ikn\nl\r document emanates through a priva source from the Social Democrat in migrant committee in Berlin, to which it was secretly sent by Socialists in- terned in the Soviet prison in Tobolsk. It say “Dear Comrades: It has been said that the bolsheviks have abolished concentration camps for political pris. oners. Socialists and anarchists at Solovetski Island, in the White Sea, und that the majority of those pris. oners were sent to Verkne Uralsk, while thousands of others were sent to the former prison of Tobolsk, Siberfa. But this is untrue. Solovetski Island there are still political prisoners, mo: ers, who participated in strikes pro- hibited by the Soviet government. These prisoners are treated inhuman. ly by the guards. who themselves were formerly sentenced for murder. DETROIT, December 22.—Taking advantage.of the present congested condition of railway service in Flor- ida, & new company, Florida Airways, Inc., using Ford allmetal airplanes, will start service between Tampa and Miami January 1, it was an- nounced here. Capt. Eddle Rickenbacker is pres ident and general manager of the new concern; Maj. William A. Rob- ertson is vice president in charge of operations and Lieut. John Hard- ing, who took part in the round-the- world flight, is in charge of mainte- nance. Others connected with the new enterprise include Edward R. Hart, formerly connected with the Shipping Board, and Maj. Reed Chambers. According to H. J. Wymer of the new company, it is the first big purely commercial venture in air transportation in America by Amer- icans. The schedule in the beginning will include daily round trips between Tampa and Miami. Four all-metal airplanes of the Stout air Pullman design will be ready for delivery Christmas day, it is expected, and these will be flown to Miami to be- gin operations of gthe service.
