That day was one of mad celebration, of feverish, excited relief from the tension of four long, horrible years. Today, as we commemorate the signing of the Armistice, we do it without the shouting and the noise, but in a far more thoughtful spirit of gratitude and thanksgwmg that the war is over. We do it with a hope that the principles of peace, for which such gallant sacrifices were made, may continue to reign in the years to come and that each individual will consider it a high honor and duty to aid in furthering the cause of good will among men.
