Dr. Wilfley was one of the leaders in forming the Washington Federa- tlon of Churches and is now presi- dent of that organization. He is a trustee of Bethany College, W. Va., and a trustee of the United Soclety of Christtan Endeavor. Special music will be rendered at both services and the various depart ments of the church will be present Sunday morning in groups. At the evening service the Shrine Glee Club will sing and many of the Shriners will be present. The class in Bible study for young people at the Central Presbyterian Church recently held its first meeting * the Winter with a large number voung people present. The class is ing a course in Bible history and the subject for next Friday will be the history of the Testament. The class meets socially at dinner at 6 o'clock each Friday night, before the study. The class Is being taught by Dr. James H. PLANS VESPER SERVICE. Y. W. C. A. to Symbolize Its Work in Foreign Countries. A vesper service, arranged to sym- bolize the work of the Y. W. C. A. in the 40 foreign countries in which it is represented, is being planned by the world fellowship committee of the Washington Y. W. C. A, to take place at the Church of the Epiphany November 8 at 4 o'clock. Three hun- dred representatives of the various departments of the Y. W. C. A. will take part in the processional. The public is invited to attend. The service will open with a quarter of an hour of international music. Tomor- row will begin the annual week of prayer of the world’s Y. W. C. A. Hold Devotional Meeting. Members of the Senlor B. Y. P. U. held a “devotional” meeting in the Sunday school room of West Wash- ington Baptist Church last Sunday, the object of which was to stimulate interest in the sermon, entitled “Why Young People Should Join the Church.” At the meeting of the ways and means committee W. Bridgers, A two-week revival service will open tomorrow at the Mount Vernon Place Methodist Episcopal Church South and will continue through November 15, with Dr. Luther Bridgers, evangelist and tenor solofst, conducting the serv- ices. Dr. Bridgers, whose home is in Gainesville, . has just completed a revival service at McAllen, Tex. He will conduct two services daily.
