Farther along we see rolls of linoleum and other floor coverings of the most attractive designs. On the right a great array of glis- tening cedar chests. On the left scores of screens from Oriental, European and Amer- ican factories. Here a great variety of orna- mental, beveled mirrors of all sizes and shapes and framed in many kinds and colors of wood or metal. A large force of skilled men and women is employed in our Upholstery Workiooms, where are displayed draperies of all descrip- tions and sizes, hangings and curtains of the most exquisite kinds, principally silk and lace, in resplendent and fantastic array. Orders for upholstery work are taken here and executed either at your home or in the big work shop in our Eighth Street warehouse, which we use for storage, manufacturing and garage purposes. For many years Lans- burgh & Bro. have specialized in producing shades and draperies to order. The Sixth Floor of our Eighth Street building is devoted exclusively to chinaware and household equipment, such as kitchen The Shop for the Home Glassware, China, Kjtchen Furniture, Utensils and Equ;fment; Laundry Helfis, Electric Servants, House- hold Specialties, Rugs, Curtains, Draperies, Odd Furni- ture, Lumps. Two Great Floors Devoted to the Home. This is the seventh of a series of articles written to acqua{nt the public with the features, facilities and resources of the Greater Lansburgh & Bro. Store. The chinaware department exhibits all kinds, qualities and designs of sets, both domestic and imported, ranging from heavy, plain white ware to the finest and most delicately ornamented china. Many of the de- signs are unique and novel in detail, decora- tion and workmanship and we also offer all the regulation size floor lamps, bridge lamps, reading lamps, etc., in this department, to- gether with the standard makes of bird cages. Styles in chinaware and dishes change just like styles in clothing, and in order to keep up with these timely variations and inova- tions we keep buyers constantly in touch with the markets both here and abroad. Everything that a housewife needs to cook with comfort, convenience and satisfaction is Yo be found on the sixth floor.
