MRS. JAY HAYDEN DIES FROM HEART DISEASE Wife of Newspaper Correspondent Expires Suddenly in Home Here. Mrs. Marguerite Scholl layden, wife of Jay G. Hayden, Washington correspondent of the Detroit News, died suddenly last night from an at- tack of heart disease at their home here, 2324 Twentieth street northwest Mrs. Hayden, apparently in good health, was talking with Mr. Hayden and her mother, Mrs. Scholl, bout 11:30 o'clock when she became ill. Two physicians were called in, but they were unable to revive her Funeral services, which will be private, will be held at the home at 10 am. tomorrow morning. Rev. Dr. J. J. Mulr, chaplain of the Senate will officiate. Interment will be made in_Detroit. Mrs. Hayden had many friends in ‘Washington. She came here with Mr. Hayden in 1914, when he was assigned to Washington as corre- spondent for the Detroit News. Mrs. Hayden was born in Detroit in 1892, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Scholl. She is survived by her hus- band, a son Martin, 11 years old, and her mother, Mrs. Scholl, who has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Hayden in Washington.
