Win Seat in Succession to Brandegee. Senator George Moses, chairman of the Republican senatorial committee, left here last night to go to Connecti- cut to take part in the campaign for the election of a Republican Senator there to succeed the late Senator Brandegee. Reports reaching Wash- ington are to the effect that some of the Republicans in Connecticut re- sent the manner in which Lieut. Col. Hiram Bingham has apparently grab- bed all the nominations for high offi- ce in the States. He is governor-elect and also the nomineee of the party for Senator against Hamilton Holt, the Democratic selection for senator. The Republicans believe firmly they will win the election for Senator, but they do not Intend to take any chances if they can help it. Senator Moses will speak in the cam- paign, which lasts only a week, and it is planned to send into the State several .other strong Republican speakers, Including Senators Borah of Idaho; Watson of Indlana and Wadsworth of New York.
