Capt. Samuel Henry Dickson, M. C., U. 8. N, retired, a veteran of the Spanish-American war, who saw more than thirty-five years' service in the Navy, dled in the Naval Hospital Sat- urday. Funeral services were con- ducted at Gawler's undertaking es- tablishment this afternoon. Inter- ment, with military honors, was in Arlington cemetery. Capt. Dickson was a native of Con- necticut. He returned to this city a few months ago after an extended ab- sence. He did thirteen yvears of sea duty, was promoted to the rank of captain October 31, 1909, and was re- tired from the active list July 20, 1911. He was again called into service in the world war as president of the naval examining board at Boston, Mass. He is survived by his widow and three sons, Lieut. Samuel Henry Dickson, jr. U. 8.
