The returns In enrollment of dele- gates for the thirtieth annual con- vention of the Sunday School Council of Religious Education, to be held at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 6th and A streets northeast, beginning Monday and continuing through Wed- nesday, show this to be the largest held in the history of the council. It} 18 estimated that more than a thou- | sand young people will be in at- tendance upon this service, at which the Rev. Dr, W. S. Abernethy, pastor | of Calvary Baptist Church, will speak. It has been determined to make this a permanent feature in the activities of the council. Special Features. Interest is being shown in the pro- gram of the elementary department because of the addresses by Miss Meme Brockway, who for so many years has been a leader in all national phases of this branch of Sunday school development. The Men's Organized Bible Class Aassoclation and the Women's Organ- ized Bible Class Assoclation have ar- ranged to have a large representa- tion from every class in the city in attendance upon the conferences, which will be held each evening on the praetical building of efficient classes. The opening conference upon this subject will be conducted by Frank L. They also demanded the observance of the laws on the statute books of the nation and the states, in the in- t of the Christian Ethblth.
