He declared that h as notified klansmen that any attempt’ to hold the mecting will bring swift action by the police. The city council will meet Tuesday night and an tempt will be made to pass an emergency ordinance pro- hibiting processions or mblages which might tend to cause disorder. If adopted, the measure would be- come effective immediately. Reports have reached the police of anti-Klan mectings in several parts of Jefferson county, but they lack confirmation. One report is that an organization known as the Knights of the Blazing Circle is actively r erulting members among those op- posed to the Klan. A message was received by Mayor Frank Hawkins and Sheriff Edward Lucas from Gov. A. V. Donahey to- day, urging that every precaution be taken to maintain order. STRIKE IN GREECE.
