John T. Dillon, for thirty years chief of the correspondence division of the War Department, died Sunday, at Saratoga, N. Y., according to in- formation_received in this city by friends. His death was due, it is said, to a general breakdown re- sulting from overwork during the world_war. He was sixty-two vears old. "He was a native of Chateaugay, Clinton county, N. Y., and was reared and educated’ in Siratoga. Before {coming to the War Department he | had been in the post office service. The funeral and interment will take place at Saratoga today. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. John ! Burgey of Schenectady, Y.; Mrs. | John Koley, Miss Anna A. Dillon and Mis§ Theresa F. Dillon, all of Sara- toga, N. Y. — Shefield s still credited with mak- ing the best steel in the world. Its virtues are attributed partly to the! | secrets known only to the manufac- turers, and partly to the water used for tempering it. Recemmended By Womrath’s Library MARCH 28, 1923.
