Krishan Rasmussen of the Danish schooner Centaurus, has been freed from custody on order of the department of justice when details of the death of Krishan J. Lorensen, a member of the crew on the high seas became known. Lorensen. a man of great size, hal gone on a rampage, locked the skip- ‘ T'lxroughout per and his mate, Erik Knudgen, in the cabin and tuken charge of the schooner. Capt. Rasmussen, frightened for his vessel's safety, said he got his gun, crawled to the cabin door and fired, intentling to scare Lorensen. The bullet struck the saflor in the arm. Lorensen surrendered, but refused to have the wound dressed, the cap- tian said, and he died six hours later from loss of blood.
