Prediction that within the next few years definite requirements would be lald down by law for those wishing to engage in the real estate business was made by John A. Petty, execu- tive secretary of the Washington Real Estate Board, at the monthly meeting of the organization in Ward- man Park Hotel last night. Mr. Petty sald he based his pre- diction on the fact that the need for definite education in real estate work was fast being recognized and that real estate boards throughout the country were gradually developing standard courses fn real estate edu- cation. With the establishment of these educational standards will fol- low legally Instituted standards which will have to be met by the prospective real estate man of the future, he ex- plained.
