WOOD. 0dd Fellows from Washington who .attend the session of the Sovereign Grand Lodge at Detroit next week will find a program full of interesting trips and entertainments. The program begins next Saturday with a boat ride down the Detroit river and on Lake St. Claire. Danc- ing, singing and games will take place en route and a stop will be made at Stag Island for a fish djn- ner. Sunday there will be a concert of sacred music at the First Presby- terian Qpurch. Monday morning will open with a brief session of the Sovereign Grand Lodge, followed by a trip through the Ford plants and a reception in the evening to Grand Sire Eastin an§ other ~officers. concluding with _a grand ball. Tuesday is reserved for an automobile tour of Detroit, fol- lowed in the evening by the cere- mony of conferring the grand decora- tion of chivalry and a military ball. There will also be theater parties and a smoker the same night. Investigatibn of charges that state road commissions in certain states have been influenced by “political consideration and favoritism” in the laying out of roads which are to share federal aid was requested of the Secretary of Agriculture in & resolution submitted yesterday Senator Harreld, republican, Okla- homa. The resolution requests that the charge be investigated with par- ticular respect to conditions in Okla- | homa. The resolution states that charges have been made in Oklahoma to the effect that because of the political | influence and favoritism roads have been laid out in some counties to the disadvantage of others, and that as a result some counties have been dis- criminated against in the distribu- tion of federal aid as based on an equitable apportionment.
