NEW YORK, June 27.—Trading was dull today in the bond market, but prices generally held firm. Advances and declines were evenly distributed. High-grade. railway mortgages which advanced in several instances on Mon- day to new highs were, as a rule, sta- tionary. Among the small number to reach new records were Union Pacific first 4s, while the Atchison general 4s again touched their year's high figure Iron Mountain 4s, Wheeling and Lake Erie consolidated 4s, Norfolk and West ern convertibles and the New Orleans Texas and Mexico bs were higher. The New York Central issues were prominent, the debentures selling at 104, a point below the mark at which they { became a call on New York Central stock, and the b per cents were a quar- ter higher than they have been in any day in over a week. MONTREAL, Quebec, June 27.—De- troit Steam Motors, manufacturing the Trask Detroit steamer, will, ac- cording to official statement, open a plant at Windsor, Ontario, under the name of the Windsor Steam Motors.
