The erection of a $200.000 hospital and home on Spring road between 10th and 11th strects northwest was announced last night by the boara of directors of the Washington Hebrew Home for the Aged. The present home at 415 M street of the Hebrews will be so0ld at once and the sale price applied on the new hospital and home, the land for which has already been purchase: and comprises approximately e acres. Shahan, rector of Catholic University, entertained the alumni and graduating class of Catholic University at a banquet at the university last night in connec- tion with the first day's exercises of the fourth annual alumni reunion. In addressing the assembly Bishop Shahan declared that the educational institutions of the country are show- ing a recovery from the unusual shock of the world war and indicated that the future of education looked bright from the present viewpoint. Dougherty urged the support of the alumni in achieving continual progress of the university as a grow- ing institution of learning, declaring that an active alumni association must form an integral part of a great university.
