Decide Time for Nurse to Go Before Jury in Eastlake Case. ICHMOND, Va.. March 31—Sarah uphonia Knox will go on trial in the circuit court of Westmoreland county, at Montross. on Tuesday, April 25, for the murder of Mrs. Margaret Eastiake at Colonial Beach last September. After innumerable delays, due once to the condition of the roads in ths northern neck, a date for the trial of the Baltimore nurse at last has been defipitely set. It is unlikely that fur- ther postponements will be necessary, the roads now being passable and wire communication having been re- stored. Miss Knox and Roger D. Eastlake, husband of the murdered woman, were jointly accused of the crime, but after a long trial, Eastlake was ac- 9 quitted. FIND WOMAN’S POKER RING Gamblers Discovered by Chicage > Police. CHICAGO. March 31.—An alleged ring of woman gamblers, in whose homes poker games of varying sizes have been conducted, is being investi- gated by the police, following state- ments made by Mrs. Julia Magden. Mrs. en’s home was raided by bandits and $8.000 was secured from man and woman players. According to the police, the women went from flat to flat to engage in the games.'each woman acting as hostess in her turn. Scores of women, the police asserted. have lost large sums of money, some of them pawn- ing jewelrv and other valuables to breax losing streaks, they added.
