HEALTH SCHOOL LOCATION! IS FAVORED BY BOARD | Tuberculosis Association Directors Support Commissio; Health Officer. The ‘board of directors of the Tuber- | culosis Association at their monthly: meeting held Monday evening voted to gupport the recommendations of | the Commissioners of the District and ! the ‘health officer for the erection -of the proposed healta school to take the place of the Hamilton School, on the grounds north of the Tuberculosis Hospital at 14th and Upshur streets. ‘The board voted to appropriate & Sum not exceeding $500 to be used in aWards of merit to puplls of !he' public schools under the direction ot] Dr. Rebessa Stoneroad, director physical training. Dr, William C. Fowler was nom- inated to represent the District of Columbia Association upon the board of the National Tubereulosis Associa- tion. It was announced that the Na- tional Tuberculosis Association would hold its annual meeting in Washing- ton, May 4 to 6. A letter was read commending the association for its support of the nutrition clinic work in the public schools and its advocacy of milk and craker midmorning luncheons. An appropriation of $20 was ap: proved to be added to that of similar appropriations of state tuberculosis assoclations for an exhibit to be pre- sented on the prevention of tubercu- losis, at the biennial meeting of the General Federation of Women's Clubs at Chautauqua, N. Y., in June. The National Tuberculosis Association will prepare the exhibit. Commissions were presented to thir- ty-nine officers of the 3d Regiment of the Washington High Schdol Cadet Corps at_exercises this afternoon at Dunbar High School.
