Roberts was chosen president to serve during thae ensuing year at a meeting of the organization in the Hotel Washington yesterday after- noon. It was not until the last five ballots had been recorded that it was possible to know that Mr. Roberts had defeated his_opponent, John A. O'Rourke, presi- dent of the Joan A.
