KELLER IN SALARY PLEA. Commissioner Would Raise Pay of Many City Employes. Stating that salaries paid District employes In positions of trust were |ru below those paid men doing simi- lar work in commercial institutions, Engineer Commissioner. Col. Charles Keller yesterday urged the estab. lishment of a higher salary scale for certain District workers, during an address before the Optimist Club at the Arlington Hotel. He asked that members of the club advocate to Congress the necessity for increases in salaries. This should be done, he said, in the interest of the community.
