ROTARIANS HOLD - WEEKLY MEETING Members Hear of Vast Strides Made in Photo-En- graving Industry. 1 Detailing the progress of photv-en- graving, and g!ving flgures to show the rapid development of the industry in the United States during the last eight years, J. Harry Cunningham addressed the members of the Wash- ington Rotary Club at their weekly meeting at the New Willard Hotel Jesterday afternoon. Mr. Cunningham, reading from the lIatest report issued by the Depart- nent of Commerce in 1919, brought out that the ind doubled in five y Mr. Cunningham, imately 376 photo-engraving shops in this country, turning out $15.000,000 Worth of products, while in 1919, ac- cording to the statement issued by the Department of Commerce, there were 420 shops doing business, and the value of their products was esti- rrated at $30,000,000.” Although no more recent figures| I8 were available, Mr. Cunningham said that the industry had made wonderful strides during the past two years.
