Because of an apparent misunder- standing of the case, the War Depart- ment has announced that the training camps for reserves to be opened this summer are “for members of the Re- serve Officers’ Training Corps and not for resorve officers.” It is explained that members of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps are students at the various educational institutions throughout the country and are not reserve officers. The Re- | serve Officers’ Training Corps camps | are for the purpose of giving milital training to these college students a part of their college course and prepare these students for appoint- ment as reserve officers. No training camps are contemplated for the train- ing of reserve officers for the year 1921.
