ROME, March 24.—Premier Giolitti and all the members of his ministry left the chamber of deputies during yesterday's session as & protest) against assertions by Deputy Modig- liani, socialist leader, disputing the king's prerogative to dissolve the chamber. Socialist members of the chamber are opposing adjournment, and it is declared this attitude is influenced by their fear that their party would -be defeated in a general election, as the organization appears to be se- fously divided. . After the ministers had withdrawn Modigliani explained that €uring the course of his address he had not meant to hint at the possibility of a republican demonstration at the next elections, and later the premier and his colleagues returned to the cham- ber.
