CORNELIA POOR DIES HERE IN HER 72D YEAR Daughter of Early Merchant of New York, Who Gave Site to Syracuse University. Mrs. Cornelia Tyler Longstreet Poor, widow of Charles Henry Poor, died at her residence, 1302 18th street north- west, at 4 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Poor, who was in her seventy- second year, was born in New York city, and was the daughter of Cor- neiius Tyler and Caroline Adpiance Redficld Longstreet. Her father was| one of the foremost early merc! nts of New York, and upon Tetiring from the business. removed to Syracuse, where he built Renwick (later known as Yates) Castle, for years one of the show places of central New York and which now forms part of Syra- cuse University, he having previously donated the land upon which the university now stands. In 1871 she married Charles Henry Poor of Washington, brother of Mrs. Charles Carrol Glover. Mr. Poor died in 1910. She is survived by three children, Capt. Charles Longstreet Poor of Ne Orleans, Mrs. Mattie Lindsay Poor Maus and Mrs. Anita Tyler Poor Bul- mer, and three grandchildren, Anita Poor Bulmer, Richard Lowndes Ioor and Martha Poor. She has always maintained a residence in this city and in Skaneateles, N. Y. RAYMOND H. PILSON DIES. Manager of Railway Equipment Company Had Been Long I1l. Raymond Huston Pilson, local busi- ness man, died yesterday at his home, 2851 Connecticut avenue norihwest. He had been ill for some time. Mr. Pilson was born in Louisville, Ky., forty-four years ago. He came to Washington many years ago and became connected with the Railway Equipment Company, later being made manager for this city. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Slater Pilson; two daughters, Ethel and Catherine, and a son, Hus- ton Pilson. Funeral services will be held to- morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. Interment will be in Rock Creek cemetery.
