‘g Weddings of Activity in Miss Frank Armstrong Sanders Will Be Bride of § Ensign Lemuel Phillips Padgett, U. S. N. A wedding of Wednesday, February 2, which concerns some of the oldest families of Virginia and the old south in general will be that at 5 o'clock of Miss Frank Armstrong Sanders to <nsign Lemuel Phillips Padgett, U. N.. and_stationed on the Tennessee, now in New York. The ceremony will be performed in the home of the birde's mother, Mrs. Mary Quitman Sanders, at 1800 K street, in the presence of a company of friends and relatives, Rev. Dr. C. Ernest Smith officiating. There will be no attendants, and all details will be simply arranged. En- sign Padgett, who i the son of Rep- resentative Lemuel P. Padgett of Ten- nessee and Mrs. Padgett, was of the ’20 class, United States Naval Acad- emy. He will take his bride to New York to stay until the Tennessee sails, in March, when she will return to Washington. Miss Sanders is the daughter of the late John B. Sanders and is great- granddaughter of Gen. B. Quitman Sanders of Mexican war fame, whose beautiful home, Monmouth, at Natchez, Miss., was for vears a center for liter- ary and social life in the south. She i related to the Washington, Dand- ridge and Aylett families of Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. John P. Gramlich, sr.. announce the marriage of their Youngest son, Gregory, to Miss Mary YVeronica Connery of Balboa, Canal Zone. Panama, on Tuesday. January 7. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Lawten of Balboa, where they will reside for the pres- ent.
