Though it falls far short of furnish- ing a passage to the ‘South Sea' as the early explorers hoped. its west- ernmost coast is on the very center- line of the continent. Much of the surrounding territory of the bay is unexplcred wiiderness. This is es- pecially true of the eaxtern coast toward Labrador. When the railroads increase the importance of the Hud- son Bay ports it is believed that ice- crushing ships-will make possible the shipping of cargoes between June 15 and November 1. The distance from Ottawa to Moose Factory is about equal to that from New York to Pittsburgh.” SOME MOVIES DENOUNCED AS VICIOUS IN TENDENCY Commissioners Will Hear Com- plaint of Reform Bureau Representatives Tuesday. The _Commissioners have notified Rev. Wilbur F. Crafts, who signed the communication. that he and his associates will be heard prior to the board meeting at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning. Dr. Crafts states in the letter that he is joined in the request for a hear- ing by Dr_ Clarence True Wiison, executive sécretary of the Methodist board of, temperance, prohibition and public morals; Rev. George A. Miller, pastor of the Ninth. Street Caristian Church; Rev. C. H. Butler, Lutheran yastor, and Mrs. J. N. Culbertson.
