The Society of Washington Artists will hold its thirtleth annual exni bition of oil paintings in the Corcoran Gallery of Art beginning January 15 and ending January 28, 1921. Thisex- hibition will include not only paint- ings by Washington artists, but out- of-town artists as well. The jury of sclection consists of the officers of the society, Mr. William H. The Daughters of the American Revolution were hostesses at a beau- tiful ball given at the Hadleigh last evening to further their Americaniza- tion work. Both ballrooms were used for the dancing, which was continu- ous from 9 to 12:30, and for which a string orchestra played. The guests, numbering 500 or more, were repre- sentative of official Army, Navy and resident society, the local chapter of the D. A. R. being well represented, Gen, W. D.
