The adult department of Calvary Tap! Sunday school held a very successful s cial in the Sunday school house Friday evening from 8 to 10 o'clock. About 800 Were present, Including officers and teech- ers of other departments and a number of invited guests. The lecture reom of tho church building and the lower floor of the Sunday school house were both used for the occasion and were handsomely deeo- rated. Light refreshments, cou+isting of lemonade and wafers, were served from a number of tables in Various paris of 1 room. The orchestra of the Young Men's Chris- tien Association rendered music, and a member of the school sang a sclection which was heartily encored. Mr. Shallen- berger, the superintendent of the depart. ment. with the pastor of the church, Rev. Dr. Greene, and Mrs. Greene, and a recep= tion committce consisting of the thirty-nine teachers, Welcomed the guests.
