The Anglo-American Joint High C ion Honored—Personal Notes of The week's gayeties were brilliantly ush- ered in by the reception last night extended by the British ambassador and Lady Pauncefote to the Anglo-American joint high commission. The company present was very large and included not only the diplomatic and official world, but also many of the prominent resident families. The embassy was elaborately adorned with palms and holly, and on the mantels and table clusters of American beauty roses added color and fragrance. In the dining room the table was ornamented with the massive plate and red roses.
