Av. ap20-sod ANACOSTIA HAPPENINGS Uhildren Appear in Operetta at St. Teresa’s Church Hall. “The Four-leaf Clover,” a four-act oper- etta, was presented in the lecture hall of St. Teresa’s Chureh last evening by a com- pany of children belonging to the Sunday school. The hall was crowded to its utmost with the friends of the little people. Those in the cast were Misses Emma Harrison, Martha Mundell, Mabel Braumer, Lucy Wathen, Effie Beall, Bessie Kane, Addie Wathen, Eugenia Arnold and Masters Jus- tin Harrison, Benjamin Mundell, Willie Weedon, Ambrose Harrison, Willie Diggs, Emmet Madigan, George E and Leo Quaid. Mr. Ernest Smith and Misses Helen Smith, Julia Smith and Gussie Smith, all of Washington, with the cornet, violin, mandolin and piano, respectively. Miss Jennie Bartley wes accompanist. Small Boy's Venture. Willie Bafley, a six-year-old boy, saved from probable injury, possibly d Mcnday evening, about dusk, by Charles Howard, a resident of Twining City. The farm wagon of Joseph Wahler was run into by a careless driver of another Wagen yesterday afternoon on Nichols ave- nue and was badly damaged.
