THE DEED OF A DEMON Shocking Brutality of a New Haven Murderer. He Kills His Wife and Her Mother and Awen an Angry Crowd— Fight With the Police. Edward A. Duff shot and killed his wife and his m@ther-in-law last night at New Haven, Conn., then wounded John Reilly and tried to shoot one of the policemen who arrested him. Duff, who is about forty-five years old, married a daughter of Mrs. Mary Maher, and two children were born to them. Al- s jealous and suspicious, Duff made his life so miserable that she left him ing her children, went to live with her mother on Green street.
