Reyrolis Post, No. 6, G. A. R., held last Friday evening, was largely attended, the com- rafles assembling to welcome those who at- tended the Grand Army national encamp- ment at Buffalo, August 22. Each of the speakers gave an interesting description of his visit, and all agreed that the grandeur of the mecting in Buf- falo was only exceeded by that held in Washington in 1992. Past Commander Galloway, who is a member of the council of administration, had fortified himself with a note book, which enabled him to give a very itterest- ing account of the trip, and so vivil and complete were his descriptions that the stay-at-home comrades might well im- agine they were with him on the journey. The captain contradicted the published account of the manner in which Ransom Post of St. Louls was received in Toronto, Canada. He said that as soon as the Grand Army post landed it placed a “Union Jack” alongside the stars and stripes, where it was maintained as they marched through the streets of Toronto.
