Mills and her large class of pupils. In faet eo great was the number of her scholars that Mrs. Mills was compelled to divide them into two programs, the first of which was heard last night, and the second installment, s0 to speak, will be given at thé’ same place tomorrow evening. Many of Ahose heard last night have already be- come well known through both church and concert: work, and their reputations are Hving testimonials to the excellence of their teacher’s work, as well as to their own industry and aptitude. The presence of singers of this description made the oc- casion of much more interest than the or- dinary pupils’ musicale, and the applause that was given was spontaneous and gen- uine, and not out of mere compliment to the performer. A noticeable feature of the work of the singers was distinctness of enunciation and a comprehension of the meaning of the work interpreted.
