The headquarters of the various state republican clubs in this city have been busy places this week, and at each elabo- rate preparations have been made for the reception and entertainment of the visit- ing organizations and their friends. The Minnesota State Association met last evening and appointed committees to welcome and extend courtesies to visitors from that state. The wedding, while not in the nature of an elopment. had a tinge of haste in it that made it truly romantic. ‘the contracting parties were Mr. Harry E. Fourcher and Miss Minnie DeWeen, the daughter of Mr. Mark DeWeen, a well- known resident of Augusta. The couple arrived in the city yesterday morning, and the prospective groom lost no time in find- ing the city hall and securing a marriage license. The Augusta papers of yesterday con- tained two casual notices.
