The British embassador ard Lady Pauncefote welcomed their friends last night to the British embassy. The guests had the pleasure of meeting the governor general of Canada and Lady Aberdeen and Lady Marjorie ,Gordon, their young daughter, and Capt. Wilberforce, who have spent this week at the embassy. The re- ception was also intended as a farewell courtesy to the outgoing administration, the cabinet and high officials.
