Hurst. Rev. Charles W. Baldwin, pastcr of Wesley Church of this city, at the meeting of the Methodist Min- isters’ Association Monday morning gave an account of the church. The church is in Anne Arundel county, Md., near An- napolis, and has been erected by the de- scendants of the late Judge William Henry and Mrs. Jane Maria Baldwin. A complimentary lecture under the au- spices of the Civic Center took place at the First Congregational Church Monday even- ing. It was given to ladies exclusively, and Was delivered by Dr. Sofie A. Nordhoff- Jung, a highly educated German female physician. The Ladies’ Home Missionary Society of the church held a basket lunch- eon and _ngizhborhood home misslonary rally on Tuesday afternoon, which was ad- dressed by Miss Moffatt of the American Congregational Home Missionary Society. A bazaar was held at SOS H_ street northeast this week by the Fifth Congre- gational Church for the benefit of the building furd. The ladles of the church have been at work since last spring pre- paring for the bazaar. It has been enliven- ed during the week by the presence of an orchestra and it closed today. Rev. D. E. Wiseman, pastor of the Luth- «ran Church of Our Redeemer, was pre- sented with a big box Thanksgiving day of an estimated value of about $100. The box was a gift of the Missionary Society of the Luther Memorial Church. The recent “Feast of Days” has netted the Keller Memorial Church, Rev. C. H. Butler, pastor, about $125. The Epworth League chapter of Dum- barton M. E. Church has elected the fol- lowing officers for the ensuing year: Pres- ident, Robert E. It was in charge of a committee of ladies and was for the benefit of the mis- s.ohary fund A revival is to begin at the church tomorrow evening, and will be con- ¢ucted by the pastor, Rev. Henry R. Nail- er, D.D., assisted by a number of the local pastors. Revivals are in progress at the Fifth Baptist Church, Rev. C. C. Meador, pas- tor, and are being conducted by the Rev. Dr. Hatcher of Richmond, Va. The Ministerial Association of local Luth- eran pastors has resumed its sessions. The mcetings are being held at St. Paul's Church, and each week a business session is held, followed by the reading of a paper and a discussion. The president of the association is Rev. Dr. W. E.
