J., was arrested yesterday at Bustleton, Pa. on suspicion of having murdered his wife. It has been learned that Mrs. Rech was none other than Bessie Weaver, whose troubles with her father and his house- keeper, afterward her stepmother, gained publicity ten or twelve years ago. She was the daughter of Dr. Martin Weaver, a wealthy but eccentric resident of German- town. Rech was her third husband. It is said that Rech has confessed the He and —— ceayttened mspiracy to transfer im her in ber fathers, estate in case of her death. To this end they procured a baby by adver- tising in Philadelphia, and she made a will making him the trfstee for the child, when the idea occurred to him of getting her out of the way. Her dead body was found in the woods near May's landing, N. J., Friday. McKinley Carried Pittsburg. Complete returns from the Saturday pri- maries show that the combine, or McKinley supporters, carried Pittsburg, while the Quayites swept the county, securing two national delegates and fourteen state dele- gates out of twenty-seven. Representative W. A. Stone and Robert McAffee were elected mational delegates on the Quay ticket in the twenty-third district and C. L. Magee and William Flinn McKinley men in the twenty-second district. —___+-0+—____ Am Orderly Day Brooklyn. In Brooklyn the Raines liquor law was enforced absolutely.
