THE MARKET SIDEWALK. of the branches. For par- BULLETIN. Attorney Thomas Files the Anawer * of the Commissioners. The District, thrcugh its attorney, Mr. 8. T. Thomas, today filed its answer in the pending case against the market company concerning the occupancy of the north aide of B street between 9th and 10th streets by farmers. ‘This case has excited widespread interest and has been postponed from time to time by counsel on both sides. Major Powell some time since, as printed at the time in The Star, submitted the position of the Commissicrers in the matter to the attor- ney for the District in order that he might have data wherewith to answer the market company’s bill. The answer cites at length the facts of the case and quotes the laws on which is based the Commissioners’ claim that the occupancy of the B street sidewalk is un- lawful. —— _Marriage Licenses. * ‘Marriage licenses have been issued to the following: Burr Pirkard and Ida Stewart, both of Alexandria, Va.; Moses R.
