SUBURBAN NEWS ANACOSTIA. A number of leading members of the Cit- fzens’ Association of Anacostia have de- cided to ask President H. A. Linger to call @ special meeting of that organization for the purpose of agitating the question of free reciprocal transfers between all the railroads in the District, which movement was started in Anacostia several months @go. and for the bringing about of which @ bill was introduced into the Senate by Mr. MeMillan, chairman of the cerhmittee on the District of Columbia, and is now a ting action. The promoters of the scheme believe that if they are reasonably energetic they will, through the aid of nator McMillan, be able to get their bill ted into law. he majority of the citizens of Anacos- tia are opposed to having the polls for the election Tuesday next held in their town, as has been suggested, and, it is under- stood, arranged for, on the ground that it is the residents of Hillsdale and the settle- ments In that part of the District who are the persons who intend to participate in the voting. The location of the voting in Hillsdale would be far more con- t to the most of those who are in- fing themselves in the campaign. Cards have been issued by Mr. and Mrs. H. A.
