14 —— COMMITTEE OF ‘96 An Important Meeting of the Ohristian Endeavorers Yesterday. Appointments Made Frem the Differ- emt Churches to the Various Auxiliary Committees. A meeting of the Christian Endeavor com- Mittee of 96 was held at the headquarters, 1425 New York avenue, yesterday afternoon, hich was of more than ordinary import- @nce because nominations to the various @uxiliary committees which are being form- ed to prepare for the coming convention were considered and confirmed. Before this business was discussed, how- ever, the circulars submitted by Chairman W. B. Robison of the finance committee, necessary for the conduct of the financial canvass among the business men, were ap- proved. Some weeks ago the committee of 9 sent out a circular letter to the president of each Christian Endeavor Society in the District union, requesting that nominations for the verlous necessary committees for the ar- rangement of the details in the preparations *for the Washington convention be made. It is estimated that fully 3,000 Endeavorers will be needed to make up the full comple- ment of these apxiliary committees.
