To the Editor of The Evening Star: Please permit me to say that I am not chairman of the committee on charities of the Washington board of trade, as re- ported in The Star this evening, but only a member, for that post is admirably filled by Mr. Frederick L. Moore. And let me add that I expressed to The Star reporter only my individual opinion of the Detroit potato patch project, inasmuch as the mat- ter has been considered by the committee harities. iS on chariMENRY BF.
