Ws A GREAT to arrange a 5 All detafls have been brought to a state of perfection by the committee arranging for the great convocation of White Rib- boners, in connection with the presenta- tion of the polyglot petition, the sessions of which will begin in this city on Friday next, February 15, and are to be continued on Saturday and Sunday. The meetings are held under the united auspices of the burlesque entit!ed “The Fakir’s Daughter,” which abounds in magnificent tableaux, catchy music, lively dances, beautiful marches, dazzling costumes and a number of pretty girls, who form a stock of fem- inine attractiveness. The olio includes the Washburn Sisters. in a series of topical songs and happy hits of the day; Craw- ford ard Manning, comedians, punsters and dancers; Morton and Eckhoff, the up- to-date musical artists; J. Herbert Mack, author and singer of character and de- seriptive songs; Miss Clara Lawrence, the market and the supplying: districts, eggs were about the only product affected to any great extent, jumping 2 and 3 cents. Poul- try was also slightly affected for the same reasons. Butter, however, remained sta- tienary. While it is not at all unlikely that the prevailing blizzard will during the com- ing week occasion somewhat of a scarcity and consequently an advance in prices in such products, especially in eggs, the sup- ply during the past week has been quite equal to the demand. One effect of the six hours the great audience enjoyed a thorough artistic treat. Perhaps ths most interesting feature of the afternoon was the appearance of Mr. and Mrs. Beerbohm Tree and their com- pany in a couple of scenes of ‘‘Hamlet.” Not only was it their first appearance in Washington, but it was the first time they have essayed this play in America, and tkeir conception of Shakespeare’s master- piece was watched with more than mere curiosity. To many minds Mr. Tree made CUTICURA REMEDIES. A warm bath, with CUTICURA SOAP, and a single application of CUTICURA, the great skin cure, will afford instant relief, permit rest and sleep and point to a speedy, economical and perma- nent cure of the most distressing of itching, burn- scaly and crusted skin and scalp THREE NIGHTS & 1 MATINEE (RAND (PERA in Italian and WITH THE F Company, Chorus, Ballet, er Clea Jeri World's National and Distric f Colum- ; 3 tig Merapre be has Womans Chelstian Temperance Un. | (iarming cornet virtuoso, and Frank Em. | severe weather, it Is generally thought, will | an Ideal Hamlet, both in appearance and and Entire Orchestra Zn L erson, the clever bone manipulator, in im-| he a retarding of early fruits and vegeta- | vcice, while all must admit that his rendi- | diseases, after physicians, hospitals and all other fi + 4 Artificial Eyes. For potatoes there was a firm, steady de- mand, and prices remained stationary, run- ning from 30 to 35 cents a bushel for culls, from 50. to 60 for Maryland and Virginia $2.25 a barrel. Grain, hay and straws developed no ap- preciable change in demand, supply or prices, the market being steady, but quiet, as a rule. Timothy ranged from $10 to $13 2 ton, and ordinary and@ mixed from $9 to $10.50, Straw, from $+ to 4%. Cut hay, $13 to $14. Corn averaged 4¥ cents a bushel; on the ear, from $2 to $225 a barrel.
