At the agricultural fair yesterday atter- noon there was a much larger crowd in attendance than during the morning, and the scene became quite lively. All the ex- hibits are now im position. In the hall are quite a number of articles not usually plac- ed on exhibition at the fair of the society. Mr. J. M. Hagy of this place has a fine ex- hibit of marble work which attracted much attention. Mr. W. R. Pumphrey has on the grounds a hearse of the latest design aud finish, and Mr. Jacob Poss makes a fool = of carriages, buggies, road carts, c. ‘The trials of speed commenced at 1 p. m., and after that hour there was a pleased and excited crowd surrounding the track. ‘The races, which were well contested, and which gave general satisfaction, were the following: ‘The Races. During yesterday the dog show was one of the points of attraction for the crowd, many fine animals being on exhibition. ‘The largest exhibition was Mr. F. R. Keys of Edgewood kennel, near Forest Glen, who exhibited fine specimens of fox hounds, @ collie bitch, bull terrier, Irish setter, fux terriers, anda magnificent full-blood 8*. Bernard.
