All day vesterday fishermen and experts were at work dragging the river in the vicinity of Edes’ mill for the body of the unfortunate § 8 “keel” boat, but up to 7 this mornit had not been met with by any one. of the river in which Mrs. Wilson was drowned is the most dangerous in all the course of the Potomae, owing to the existence of numerous jutting rocks and narrow-mouthed holes of a ‘depth varying from 25 to 100 feet. it was almost in the same spot that young Herbert Collins was drowned some years ago by the capsizing of a boat. After vainly sew ing a week or more for his body it was found necessary to employ divers. They reported after spending a number of days on the rocky bottom that without doubt the Potomac in that vicinity was the most dangerous river they had ever been in. Even in their studies about the rivers <r countries nothing like it had ever been read of. Edna, Mre. Wilson's six-year-old daughter, has been taken charge of by her grandmother, who lives on N strect between 9th and 10th. A BRASS BAND OLGANIZED. For along time merchants along that thoroughfare have been block- ading the footwalks with boxes, barrels and other things. They fied that all heeded and two arrests were made, one by Off- cer Bloom and the other by Officer Berryman. Both gentlemen were charged with obstructing the sidewalk. Their personal bonds were taken, and today the police report that the Water street pavements are clear. GORED BY A cow. Mrs. Annie Singleton, living in the country near Seneca, was gored by a cow on Sunday. She was milking the animal when it became enraged and attacked the woman.
