One hundred and forty-one members of the “congregation of the West Street Presbyterian Church assembled last evéning in pursuance to a request of the Rev. Dr. Fullerton to act upon the resignation of that gentleman. Ever since the pastor left the church to take well-earned vacation in Europe and the taking charge of it by Rev. Frank E. When the astor's vacation expired, on the Ist of last Sune, many of the sounger mombere of the congregation desired that the temporary pastor should remain, as during bis year of service he had proven himself not only to bean active, painstaking pastor, but au eloquent preacher. A large part of the congregation, however, while acknowledging the young man’s abi were pot willing that their old avd much- beloved pastor should resign. The discussion at Inst reached tho ears of Mr. Fullerton, and Inst evening. in a speech that touched the of his hearers more than eloquent words could have done, he asked the congregation to unite with hita in asking the preebytery to sever the pastoral relation existing between himeelf and the West Street Presbyterian Church. There may be Furniture dealers who will tell you that they can sell you goods ata saving of from 25 | to 50 per cent as compared with some other houres, I make no such preposterous claim —I simply invite you to visit the “cash” and “other Furniture houses, get their prices and carefully amine their goods, then come to me for Bar- gains on “time” payments.
