The Port of New York Free From the Dis- ease at Last. New Yorx, Sept. 26.—Dr. Jenkin and Dr. Sternberg have officially announced that the Port of New York is free from cholera. The health officer says that there are nocholera cases down the bay today, all the sick having recovered. ‘The Guion line steamer Wyoming, from Liverpool, was released from quarantine today and started for the city at 1141 a.m. ‘The steamer Servia was released from tine at 8:25 o'clock and proceeded to her dock. | The board of health posted the following bulletin at 10 o'clock this morning: No cases of cholera in this city since the last bulletin. Among the arrivals at tho upper quarantine | this morning was the Red Star liner Pennland, with 210 cabin passengers on board. She re- | ported al! well and will probably be released this afternoon or tomorrow morning. ‘The Guion liner Arizona also arrived, with | 468 cabin passengers on board. She also has no sickness. Neither of them carries immigrants | and their detention will be short. The steamer Wyoming has been beld in the lower quarantine for several days owing to the death of two little children on board and thy mother on Swinburne Island. The steamer will be released today and allowed to go to her dock. The oil tanker Elise, from Hamburg, was released at 1 am. hao Sr ON THE ROSLYN ROBBERS’ TRAIL. The Sheriffs Posse Confident of Catet Them in Twenty-Four Hours. Tacoma, Wastt., Sept. 26.—The sheriff's posse in pursuit of the Hoslyn bank robbers came upon four of them in a dense forest in Leamway basin, twenty miles east of Roslyn. A battle ensued and oneof the desperadoes was wounded. ‘ihe others escaped in the darkness. The meeting was a surprise to both pursued and pursuers, Three saddled horses were found in the woods near the trail which the robbers followed on leaving Roslyn. Two of them were positively identified as those ridden by the robbers. The sheriff's posse was increased to 125 men, and it is believed that the robbers will be captured within twenty-four hours, aaccatan NEWARK’S BIG CELEBRATION.
