In ao Dranken Quarrel William Covert Stabs Frederick Abey. Loxe Ist.axp Crrv, L. 1, July 27.—Frederick Abey. formerly an attendant in the Queens County Insane Asylum at Mineda, was stabbed and killed ina drunken quarrel with William Covert in front of John Wick’s hotel at Ayde Park last night. Covert and Abey had been drinking together when they got into a quarrel. The quarrel was renewed in front of the hotel, when Covert suddenly drew a large knife and stabbed Abey in the neck. The latter fell to the ground and ex- pired. Covert is a farmer, well connected, and the community is shocked by the terrible crime. Covert made his escape after the murder and up to 10 o'clock this morning had not been captured. Officers are scouring the country for him.
